Stacker for iPhone & iPad
Privacy Policy
Effective 27 July 2026
The short version
Stacker has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking software of any kind. It contains no third-party SDKs. Nothing you do in the game is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile of you.
Two optional features send anything at all off your device, and both run on Apple's own services: Game Center leaderboards and iCloud (CloudKit) for run replays and death markers. Neither one gives the developer your name, your email address, or your Apple Account identifier.
The game offers one optional in-app purchase. It is sold and processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.
Who this policy is from
Stacker ("the game") is developed and published by GAICOMTEL SRL ("we", "us"),
the data controller for the limited data described below. This policy covers the
Stacker iOS app, bundle identifier
com.gaicomtel.stacker. Contact:

What stays on your device
The game keeps your progress on the device it runs on: high scores, run history, unlocked content, statistics, and your settings. This data is stored in the app's own container on your device, is not readable by other apps, and is never transmitted to us. Deleting the app deletes it.
Game Center leaderboards
If you are signed in to Game Center, the game submits your scores to Apple's Game Center leaderboards and reads back the boards to display them. What travels is the score itself and, from Apple, the public display name (alias) and avatar Game Center already publishes for you.
Game Center is operated by Apple. Your Apple Account, your real name, and your email address are never shared with us — we only ever see the public alias Apple chooses to show. Apple's handling of this data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
You can opt out entirely by signing out of Game Center in the iOS Settings app. The game remains fully playable; only the leaderboards disappear.
iCloud: replays and death markers
Two leaderboard features store small records in an iCloud container
(iCloud.com.gaicomtel.stacker) that Apple operates on our behalf:
- Run replays. When a run earns a leaderboard score, the game can upload the run's tape — the sequence of moves and the resulting score — so other players can watch the top runs play back. A replay is shown next to the leaderboard entry it belongs to, which means it is associated with your public Game Center alias and is visible to other players. It contains no personal information beyond that: no text you type, no contacts, no device details.
- Death markers. When a daily run ends, the game can add one anonymous count to the row it ended on, so the daily grid can show where other players died. This is a number in a tally. It is not linked to your alias, your device, or any other run.
Records are written using Apple's CloudKit framework and are identified by an Apple-issued, per-app identifier. We do not receive your iCloud email address, your name, or your Apple Account ID, and we have no way to trace a record back to a real person. If you are not signed in to iCloud, nothing is uploaded and the rest of the game is unaffected.
The in-app purchase
The game sells one thing: The Back Room, a one-off purchase that unlocks two extra machines. It is not a subscription and there is nothing else to buy. The in-game tickets you earn by playing are not sold and cannot be bought.
The purchase is made through Apple's App Store using Apple's StoreKit framework. Your card number, billing address, and Apple Account details are handled by Apple and are never sent to us or seen by us. What the game receives from Apple is a signed confirmation that this Apple Account is entitled to the unlock — no name, no email address, no payment information.
That entitlement is remembered on your device so the game still works offline, and is re-checked with Apple at launch. If you turn on Family Sharing for the purchase, Apple makes the same entitlement available to your family group; we are not told who is in it. Restoring a purchase on a new device asks Apple, not us.
Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them and are not told the reason for one — only that the entitlement has been revoked, at which point the unlocked machines are locked again.
What the game never collects
- No advertising identifier (IDFA), and no advertising or measurement networks.
- No analytics, crash-reporting, or attribution SDKs.
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health, or calendar access.
- No email address, phone number, or postal address.
- No browsing history and no tracking of you across other apps or websites.
- No payment information — the one in-app purchase is processed entirely by Apple, and no card or billing detail reaches us.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioural purposes.
Children
Stacker is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. The only identity the game ever touches is the Game Center alias Apple already publishes, which a parent or guardian can manage or disable through Screen Time and Family Sharing on the device.
Your choices, and deleting your data
- Stop all leaderboard data. Sign out of Game Center in Settings → Game Center. Scores stop being submitted immediately.
- Stop all iCloud data. Turn off iCloud for Stacker in Settings → [your name] → iCloud, or sign out of iCloud. Replays and death markers stop being uploaded.
- Delete what is stored in iCloud. Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage lets you remove the app's iCloud data. You can also email us and we will delete records associated with your leaderboard entries.
- Delete local data. Delete the app.
- Game Center scores. These live with Apple; requests to remove them are handled through Apple's privacy portal.
If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK, California, or another region with statutory privacy rights, you may exercise them by writing to info@gaicomtel.com. Because we hold no account, no email address, and no identifier that points at you, the practical answer to most requests is that there is nothing held about you beyond what is described above.
Retention
On-device data lives until you delete it or delete the app. Replays and death markers persist in iCloud while the leaderboard season they belong to is live, and may be cleared when seasons roll over. Game Center scores are retained by Apple under Apple's own policies, as is the record of your purchase — deleting the game does not lose it, which is what makes restoring possible.
Security and where data is held
All network traffic goes to Apple's services over encrypted connections. We operate no servers of our own and hold no database. Apple stores Game Center and iCloud data on its infrastructure, which may be located outside your country; Apple's transfer safeguards apply.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version is posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes to what the game collects will be described here before the version that makes them ships.
